supporting large international unions like Starbucks Workers United, IUPAT, UAW, and smaller local unions. Managed domain registration
with WP Engine for CI/CD deployment, DNS servers with Cloudflare, product photography, content, inventory, and monthly tax rate updates.
Construct a reusable website template and layouts within Oxygen Builder that feature integrated USPS/UPS APIs for real-time shipping,
automated inventory updates with WP All Import, and customizable dynamic checkout field content using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
Optimize assets with TinyPNG and Jetpack plug-ins and improve accessibility using WebAIM, Lighthouse, and ANDI tools to meet WCAG 2.2
Level AA and ADA standards.
Develop custom JavaScript within the website template to inject ID attributes into WooCommerce table components (bypassing Oxygen Builder
limitations) to support proper row and column scope and headers usage, improving screen reader navigation. Craft custom PHP snippets to
enable site-wide password protection, hide prices from public view while keeping them in sales reports, and trigger low-stock alert
emails featuring product images for sales staff.
Addressing accessibility challenges—such as Starbucks Workers United’s light green and aqua colors failing the 4.5:1 contrast ratio
required for WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance, a common issue for unions aiming to preserve inaccessibility button, link, and text/background
colors from their main websites. Resolved this by adjusting color schemes with tools like WebAIM, ensuring compliance while preserving
brand identity.
Between my continuous improvements to the website template and using Agile sprints tools like Jira and Basecamp to help create a list of
tasks to complete upon the creation of a new webstore, I have allowed for consistently delivered, fully functional, accessible e-commerce
sites, bringing webstore completion windows from 5 days to just 12 hours.
Designed UX/UI homepage prototypes within Figma to show union clients how their sites could look on Image Pointe's WordPress platform. Completed in 2–4 hours, each prototype integrates layout, visual design, and branding research to engage target audiences and drive contract acquisition. Most clients become long-term partners after viewing a prototype.
Created video projects with Pearson under the Apprentice, I&O Cloud Engineering role. Wrote scripts, filmed footage, conducted interviews, and edited video and audio using Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Audacity. Produced compelling stories to promote internal initiatives. Notably, the Learning2Work Pathfinders Apprenticeship Recruitment video directly led to 14 new hires.
Edited personal video projects using Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, including cinematic trailers, TV-style commercials,
music videos, and restorations of canceled $48 million film projects. The most popular video, the
Godzilla: King of the Monsters music video, created entirely
from pre-release public footage, has earned nearly 2 million views on YouTube.
The most challenging project was restoring the canceled CGI film for Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds.
This involved contacting original production staff to verify authentic footage, distinguishing it from material made for the
2005 album re-release, and meticulously stitching together fragmented animation tests, such as a Martian tripod walk cycle from
three separate clips, into seamless, accurate sequences.
